DESCRIPTION:Coonamble Shire Council invites all Australia Day Award nominees\, their families\, local Elders of the Wayilwan and Gamilaraay Nations and members of the community to Coonamble’s Australia Day Awards Gathering. \nThe morning begins with a free breakfast from 8am to 9am at the Coonamble Showground Pavilion\, prepared by the Rotary Club of Coonamble. This will be followed by a Citizenship Ceremony about 9am\, then presentation of the Australia Day Awards. CWA Coonamble provides a free morning tea after the Awards. \nPeople interested in nominating an outstanding community member or organisation for an award should do so before 8 January 2025. Search for ‘Australia Day Awards Nomination Form’ on Council’s website. \nThe event is sponsored by Coonamble Shire Council and the National Australia Day Council. \nCouncil advises that photographs will be taken on the day and will be published in publicly available media during and after the event; attendees acknowledge this.
