A little town with a big heart, residents of Tottenham in Lachlan Shire are looking to provide a new and exciting activity space for their young people.
“After discussions with parents and children in the community, we noticed how many people commented that they would love a skate park in town,” Tanya Fulton, a member of the Tottenham Skate Park Development Group (TSPDG) said.
A small but keen committee of six, the group is a sub-committee of the Tottenham Welfare Council and are looking to provide some new and healthy options for locals and visitors.
“Tottenham is a small town and there really is no place for kids to ride bikes or skateboards,” Ms Fulton said. “In summer we have the pool but that’s about it. We don’t want kids riding around on the roads so the idea of a skate park came about. At the moment the closest park is about an hour away…
