Patching work commenced on the Baradine Road, about 50 kilometres out of town, on 11 September to the relief of regular users.
The bumpy roads have given Brooke Skinner, who travels down the road daily, a scare several times.
“The road has always been pretty rough, especially after the last drought followed by the flood,” she said.
“You didn’t realise how much you had to slow down despite the signs there.
“Even the bus drivers were pretty concerned about the kids on the school run.”
