This semester, our Year 7 Aboriginal Studies class was studying “Wagibaa Warranggal”, meaning Strong Country.
We collaborated with the Local Aboriginal Land Council to participate in caring for country at the local Community Garden.
Students enjoyed digging, shovelling, wheelbarrowing, planting, watering, weeding and learning about land management and a variety of local bush foods.
The students could feel the positive energy and calming essence that radiates from the garden.
