Coonamble's water supply is expected to return to normal by Thursday as the town's water reservoir slowly climbed back to around 64 per cent per cent on Tuesday morning 26 August.
Mayor Dan Keady said an issue with the valves at a treatment plant put the town's supply system under pressure and triggered a raft of domestic water restrictions.
Immediate emergency water restrictions were imposed on Monday morning 25 August.
