Fifteen Coonamble Year 10s were thrown into the deep end for this year’s week of work experience between 10-14 November.
More than 15 local organisations put their hands up to host the students for the placements, including in education, mechanics, hospitality and agriculture.
Out at Castlereagh Auto, budding mechanic Maria Lia learned to service a car and got to rewire lights on trailers and buggies.
“That was pretty fun because I got to do it all by myself,” Maria said.
