After some relative quiet, there have been a number of criminal incidents in Coonamble recently, with failed and successful car thefts, a burnt out vehicle and weaponised assault cases popping up townwide.
Local police have also reported a disturbing surge in incidents of drink driving.
Authorities are calling for more locals to report any criminal activity, including if they see anything suspicious.
