The state government is expanding the drought plan, but the Country Mayor's Association (CMA) members say more needs to be done to give the green thumbs a hand.
On 16 February the Government announced a number of initiatives to help farmers through dry spells, including doubling the drought loan available to $500,000.
CMA Chairman, Temora Mayor Rick Firman said the generosity of the loan does not make for a feasible solution.
