We have celebrated several wonderful events over the past two weeks, beginning with the launch of the school’s new Breakfast Club!
This initiative was warmly welcomed by students and staff and operated five days a week via the canteen from 8:00am until the first bell at 8:50am.
Students were able to enjoy fresh fruit or toast to start their day, and the program quickly became a positive addition to the morning routine.
A big thank you went to everyone involved in bringing the initiative to life, with the school community encouraged to keep an eye out for more photos to come!!
Year Three hosted the school’s Prayer Assembly on Thursday, 5th of March, and shared the story of the Transfiguration, where Jesus revealed to His disciples that He is the Son of God.
The story reminded students to listen to Jesus and show kindness to those around them.
Congratulations went to Ms Klaassens and Year Three for leading a thoughtful assembly, and thanks were extended to the visitors who joined the celebration.
We also held the school’s first Infants Mass for the year on Friday, 6th of March.
Led by Year 1 and Year 2 students, the Mass was filled with beautiful prayers and a spirit of reverence.
The school thanked the dedicated teachers who organised the celebration, as well as the parents and friends who attended.
Sport was another highlight of the week, with 21 students representing St Brigid’s at the Dio Swimming Carnival in Dubbo last Tuesday.
Congratulations went to Alex C, Charlotte C, Hamish C, Eleanor D, Lucy J, Jimmy M, Wilda M, Theo N, Ted R, Lizzie P, Billy S, Indie S, Lydia S, Ned S, Knox W, Hudson W, Emma W, Barclay W, Elke W, Max W and Molly W for their efforts throughout the day.
The team achieved excellent results, with a special mention to Lydia S, who was named Junior Girl Champion. St Brigid’s also celebrated first-place finishes in the Junior Boys Relay, Junior Girls Relay and Senior Girls Relay events.
Congratulations were also extended to the following students who qualified for the Polding Swimming Carnival next month: Alex C, Charlotte C, Hamish C, Eleanor D, Lucy J, Wilda M, Lizzie P, Billy S, Indie S, Lydia S, Knox W, Emma W, Barclay W, Max W and Molly W.
Kindergarten also hosted their first Prayer Assembly of the year last Thursday, focusing on the story of the Lost Sheep.
Students reflected on how God loves each of us, just as the Good Shepherd cares for every sheep. Kinder brought the story to life through a reenactment, followed by short prayers and a joyful song.
Congratulations went to the Kindergarten students for leading their first Prayer Assembly, and thanks were extended to Mrs Markey, Miss Meers, Mrs Goldsmith and all involved, as well as the visitors who joined the celebration!
We look forward to sharing more news with you soon!
