Last week thousands of Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) staff went on strike against a salary and working conditions offer unions are calling unfair.
From 11am last Wednesday over two-thousand staff joined the 24-hour walkout across Australia.
ABC Radio Western Plains, which broadcasts to Coonamble and surrounding areas, was among those outlets to switch off their microphones.
