Work has been underway on animal exclusion fencing at Coonamble Airport making it safer for aircraft to land.
The 1.75-metre mesh fence has been installed along the roughly 4.5-kilometre perimeter.
Coonamble Shire infrastructure director Kerrie Murphy confirmed at Council's ordinary meeting on Wednesday 12 February that construction was running smoothly.
"The contractor actually said that one morning, when they were working, they were watching the kangaroos bounce off the fence," she said.
