The new data, announced on 9 October, also includes recorded incidents of coercive control since it became an offence on 1 July this year.
The crime involves directing abusive behaviours towards a current or former partner to control or coerce them.
The data up to 31 August does not contain information on the Local Government Area level, although of the 52 incidents recorded just over half were in regional NSW.
