Coonamble Shire has confirmed that their remaining ranger resigned in December as councillors questioned why more dogs haven't been caught.
During their monthly Council meeting on 10 December, senior staff said that, while both permanent ranger positions are now vacant, they are still pursuing a contract ranger and looking at sharing rangers with neighbouring councils.
A Council report said two dogs were impounded in November. Councillors said it isn't enough.
