The issue of overgrown roadside weeds and grass was high on the agenda at this month's Coonamble Shire Council (CSC) meeting.
Councillor Marg Garnsey raised the motion for the Council to begin receiving expressions of interest for noxious weed control on Council owned or controlled property.
"The slashing and noxious weed control has been very poor in the past few years," said Cr Garnsey.
"We've been pushing for slashing to improve visibility."
