PHOTO: Dead bird not easily spotted.
There was an electricity outage covering much of the shire on Tuesday 19 December - thanks to a wayward bird.
The outage started at 7:26 when a crow got caught in wires near Smith Park on the Castlereagh Highway.
It impacted an estimated 2252 customers from Combara in the South to Wingadee in the North, and Quambone in the West to Teridgerie in the East.
Essential Energy crews were on the scene quickly and power was restored at around 8:20am . . .
