Coonamble Shire Library is excited to announce that acclaimed Australian author Peter Watt will be visiting the library for an author talk on ..
This special event is free for the community and promises to be a unique opportunity to hear from one of Australia’s most versatile and engaging storytellers.
Peter Watt is best known for his historical sagas, drawing on his wide-ranging experiences to craft novels which transport readers into richly woven tales of war, family, love, and survival, set against the backdrop of Australia and beyond.
Over the years, Peter has worked as a soldier, prawn trawler deckhand, builder’s labourer, private investigator, police sergeant, and advisor to the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary.
Fluent in Vietnamese and Pidgin, Peter has also been deeply involved in community service, volunteering with the Queensland Ambulance Service, and currently with the Rural Fire Service. He balances his writing career with his passion for giving back to the community, fishing, and exploring the wide open spaces of outback Queensland.
For those eager to dive into his stories beforehand, Coonamble Library holds a range of his titles ready to borrow.
The Peter Watt Author Talk is open to all and free to attend.
