Local fire crews have been kept busy attending events in or nearby each shire township over the past week.
On Friday 11 February lightning started two separate fires on ‘Moblar’ near Quambone at around 5pm.
Quambone Village, Quambone Rural and Noonbah Brigades arrived quickly and the fire closest to Quambone was brought under control within an hour.
A grader was brought in to create a break around the second fire . . .
