AN ANNOUNCEMENT that more than $1.2 million in state government funding would be available to council and local community groups through the latest round of the Stronger Country Communities Program certainly lifted the mood of councillors at their monthly meeting on Wednesday 10 August.
Council's Acting Manager of Economic Development & Growth, David Levick, told the meeting that an allocation of $875,000 was available for Council to apply for and that community groups could also submit project applications for a share of $397,000.
Councillors are invited to nominate their preferred projects . . .
