A LACK of automatic river gauges on the Castlereagh River has been raised as an issue for landholders and emergency services in Coonamble and areas downstream.
With more high flows expected this week and in coming months, knowing when the peaks are coming is critical to landholders, contractors and others who need to manage the movement of livestock, machinery, vehicles and people in the saturated landscape.
