Gilgandra partnership with Inland Rail secures new residential properties

Gilgandra is powering ahead with the construction of 10 new houses for the community, after a long-term lease from Inland Rail has guaranteed funding for the shire’s development project.

The leases on the new homes will accommodate employees working on the Narromine to Narrabri (N2N) section of the Inland Rail Network, giving the Gilgandra Shire Council the financial assurance to spend some $5 million on the construction of the new homes.

When the Inland Rail is complete, the homes on the new subdivision Aero Park will be made available for purchase or rental by local residents.
