A man was allegedly injured during a break-in by a man carrying a knife in Coonamble's Wingadee Street on Thursday 12 February.
A police spokesperson said that officers were called to a home at about 5am with reports of a man armed with a large knife.
They were told he was holding it when he broke in through the back door.
The resident - a man in his 40s - was then allegedly chased outside the house and suffered a minor cut to his finger.
