Recording a small overall loss of four cents to the Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) to close at 1,186c/kg, the Australian wool market proved unable to continue the upward trend of the previous series in Week 30.
There were originally 50,965 bales available, a figure that settled at 49,692 bales after 2.5 per cent was withdrawn prior to sale, making it the largest national offering of the current season.
Of that offering, 46,004 bales were sold, with 7.4 per cent of the offering failing to reach seller reserve.
