FORTY teachers from the Coonamble township walked off the job last Wednesday 4 May as part of a state-wide industrial action calling for the NSW government to address ongoing teacher shortages.
The action was announced in late April by the NSW Teachers Federation (NSWTF), with a number of gatherings organised across the state for those unable to attend the main strike in Sydney.
