A wanted man caused quite a stir around town on January 11 when he managed to elude police in the bush 15 kilometres north of Coonamble after his vehicle ran out of fuel on the Castlereagh Highway.
Wanted man Peter James Rowley sparked a 24 hour manhunt in and around Coonamble that included a police helicopter, the dog squad, officers from the Castlereagh Local Area Command and Tactical Response Group (TRG) Officers.
