The small community of Mendooran was momentarily rattled by a mild earthquake last week.
Geoscience Australia recorded the epicentre of the magnitude 3.3 tremor just west of the town in the early morning of Monday, 7 July at a depth of 7kms.
Apparently, it was enough to cause a noticeable rumble and some light vibrations.
While no damage has been reported, the unexpected jolt caught residents by surprise with twenty-three tremor reports recorded by Geoscience Australia.
