Construction is well underway for Aboriginal-designated housing in Coonamble's Auburn Street, with another build planned on the Castlereagh Highway.
The duplexes will each be able to house two families in separate units.
Builders began in Auburn Street in August and the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) expects completion by mid 2026, while the duplex on land next to the SES shed is marked for completion in the second quarter of 2026.
