Coonamble's SES unit is a step closer to performing land rescues again after their new specialist truck arrived on Tuesday 18 November.
The heavy vehicle carries more rescue gear than other vehicles in the unit's shed and allows the service to respond faster to local emergencies like car crashes and farm accidents.
Longtime member John 'Tiny' Lewis, who is also Chief Inspector in the service’s Barwon cluster, said the truck will also help members keep their training up-to-date.
