NSW premier Chris Minns says the state government is considering compulsory land acquisitions to progress a pipeline linking to proposed gas fields in Narrabri Shire to eastern markets and ports.
The Hunter Gas Pipeline is not planned to run through Coonamble Shire but is critical to the Narrabri Gas Project, which has drawn determined local opposition over concern for potential groundwater contamination.
