Gilgandra Local Aboriginal Land Council’s Belinda Simon says new funding from Central West Orana Renewable projects is a major boost for her community.
The Local Aboriginal Lands Council will share in $6 million in funding announced on Friday 19 September by NSW Environment Minister Penny Sharpe and Energyco’s Hannah McCaughey who is administrating and managing the roll out of the projects.
Ms Simon said doing roof restorations for local community housing in Gilgandra and developing community spaces were “massively important for Country in Gilgandra.’’
