As we come to the start of another winter cropping season, one of the biggest issues we are confronted with will be seed quality.
All retained seed from 2022 being either cereals or pulses will carry some level of disease and/or reduced seedling vigour from the weather events of last season.
Seed testing now is cheap insurance, as using paddock scale germination testing as in planting the crop and achieving an unsatisfactory plant stand will be costly.
