Coonamble Shire Council's truck wash came under the microscope at one of their last regular meetings of 2025, when councillors queried a near $9500 deficit from July to the end of October.
Councillor Paul Wheelhouse also reminded staff of the need to find an alternative water source for the truck wash.
The Coonamble wash currently uses treated water, which Coonamble Shire Director of Corporate Services Bruce Quarmby said is one of the biggest cost drivers for Council.
"It's just a waste of treated water," Cr Wheelhouse said.
