A frank assessment of the state of our district's unsealed roads provided to councillors and roads committee members at the March council meeting showed the scale of the challenge but ended with optimism for better results ahead.
The overview was provided by Daniel Noble, Executive Leader Infrastructure, who laid bare both the poor status of the roads and the funding shortfall that has road crews hamstrung.
