Back in November 2020, Coonamble became the backdrop for ‘Mary’, a short film by Joshua McElroy (Josh), the grandson of long time Coonamble resident Tom Lyons.
Created by MTM Productions, and based on a true story of a young boy and his horse Mary, the film explores drought, depression and climate change in a rural Australian setting.
