THE Coonamble Bears played host to the Narromine Jets on the weekend with the League tag girls up first to start proceedings.
On an unusually hot July day, the girls were really feeling the heat, which was only amplified by the lack of tries and stoppages in the game from both sides until only minutes before half time.
Lucky for Coonamble, Hannah Towns was the one to claim it for the Bears, with a 70m run to find space and score under the posts. An easy conversion gave the Bears the lead 6-0 going . . .
