THE Australian wool market returned from the mid year recess to record substantial losses, with the AWEX Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) falling by 45 cents to close 1,342c/kg.
With 55,363 bales on offer, buyers were very cautious in their purchases as the market opened, resulting in a price fall from the opening lot that continued as the day progressed.
