The push to improve adult literacy in Coonamble is about to receive extra effort with the Dubbo-based Regional Enterprise Development Institute (REDI.E) gaining federal investment to set up a literacy and numeracy program.
The registered charity received $1,750,000 to deliver the project up to February 2028, across Coonamble, Dubbo and Orange.
Aimed at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members aged 15 and over, the program is scheduled to launch in August.
