On 12 August, Walgett hosted the Jenny Wright Shield netball tournament, marking an exciting milestone with the official opening of the new PCYC courts.
Players and spectators alike praised the courts as incredible to play on, expressing gratitude to the Shire for providing such a valuable sporting facility for the community.
Schools from around the region participated, including Coonamble Public, Walgett, Brewarrina, Collarenebri, Goodooga, St Joseph’s, and Burren Junction.
