Coonamble will take the national spotlight when stories from four locals air on the ABC's Back Roads program.
Host Lisa Millar spent just over a week in town during August 2025 ahead of the live show Hello, Coonamble!.
She and a TV crew followed veterinarian Jill Kelly, musician Travis Jones, farmer James 'Mags' Nalder and ceramic artist Kevin 'Sooty' Welsh as they prepared to share their life tales before hundreds of spectators at the Plaza Theatre.
Ms Millar said there were moments of the shoot that brought her to tears.
