After almost four weeks, Coonamble's boil water alert has been lifted.
Coonamble Shire Council confirmed on 20 February that chlorine disinfection levels at the town's water treatment plant had reached the target for safe drinking.
Limits on non-essential usage remain in place, although a Council representative said they hope that a valve replacement at Coonamble Water Treatment Plant will be completed by the end of the week and allow restrictions to be eased.
