PHOTO: $430k in fines after massive illegal land clearing 120 km from Coolabah
Two western NSW landholders have been hit with more than $430,000 in fines after illegally clearing thousands of hectares of native vegetation.
The Land and Environment Court found John and Raelene Vassallo guilty of multiple breaches of land clearing laws on a property near Coolabah, about 120km from Cobar.
Mr Vassallo was fined $315,000, while Mrs Vassallo received a $116,250 penalty. The pair were also ordered to pay legal costs…
