Autumn arrives quietly as April stays dry

April in Coonamble marks the gentle turning point from the heat of summer to the cooler months.

Stats from Elders Weather reveal April 2026 in Coonamble was characterised by dry conditions and warmer than average maximum temperatures.

By comparison April 2021 had very similar dry conditions with zero rain recorded.

Similarly April 2026 had zero rain days with and average minimum temperature of 11.8 degrees Celsius and average maximum of 29.3 Celsius, warmer than the 1998-2026 average of 26.3 Celsius.
