Gilgandra Shire Council is calling on residents to have their say on proposed increases to waste facility fees and charges for the 2026/27 financial year, as it looks to secure the long-term sustainability of local waste services.
The proposed changes come amid rising costs associated with waste management across regional communities, including processing, transport, environmental compliance and the ongoing challenge of landfill capacity.
