Here at AHN we work proactively with clients to set up cows and ewes to rear their young successfully.

But the dry weather does inevitably mean that there will be the odd poddy to raise.

There was a great chat within our client WhatsApp group recently about how best to rear them.

Poddy lambs or calves need colostrum in the first 36 hours of life.

200-300ml for a lamb, and 2-3L for a calf.
