Jobs lost as Australian Opal Centre cuts back

Australian Opal Centre Chairman David Lane says jobs have been lost and operations scaled back following a review of Australian Opal Centre operations and finances.

The news comes as ‘FlickerFest’ a celebration of famous Australian short films was held there Saturday May 30.

The AOCL Board has made the difficult decision to scale back activities in Lightning Ridge initially until Easter 2027 and make staff positions redundant…
