Long weekend car chase ends in flames

Coonamble local Liam Mulhall was walking home from the annual rodeo event on Saturday 6 June when he witnessed a very intense car chase down the Castlereagh Highway.

It was just after 8pm, and he was strolling along the footpath just outside the Riverside Caravan Park when he heard an ear piercing screech.

He turned to check out the noise only to see a sparks flying up behind a car speeding along the Highway into Coonamble.

“It was sparking like a grinder,” Mr Mulhall said.

“Their rims were on the road . . .
