Liam Bowling has trained all year for cross country by running laps around his hometown Baradine, and now his hard work is paying off.
Twelve year old Liam was chosen for the North West School Sports Association (NWSSA) cross country team after placing first in the three kilometre cross country race in Coolah on June 11.
Although the runner thought he was prepared through his training, Liam said the race was no walk in the park.
