When most teenagers are worrying about homework and sport, 14-year-old Mark Ryan was learning how to help communities through floods and storms.
Fifty years later, the Gilgandra SES volunteer is still answering the call, earning Life Membership and a 50-Year Service Clasp for a lifetime dedicated to helping others across Western NSW.
