A campaign across nine north-west NSW local government areas has found most farmers and landholders are complying with pesticide laws, although the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has reminded some sprayers that accurate record-keeping remains essential.
The EPA assessed pesticide users in Moree, Narrabri, Walgett, Warren, Liverpool Plains, Gunnedah, Warrumbungle, Coonabarabran and Gilgandra, reviewing almost 170 spray records from properties using pesticides, herbicides and insecticides during December 2025.
