Almost seven in every 10 tourism dollars spent in the Greater Western Plains area come from visitors based in regional NSW, highlighting the importance of intrastate tourism to the local visitor economy.
The figure comes as the NSW Government rolls out a new 12-month tourism marketing strategy aimed at attracting more visitors to regional communities, supporting local businesses and increasing visitor spending.
