At age 28 Lachlan Barrett has been named one of the Most Influential Educators 2026 by a prestigious national educational magazine and news website, The Educator.
When the news broke at his current school, Kinross Wolaroi in Orange, the accolades began to roll in including from his hometown Coonamble.
“I’m humbled and grateful for the recognition of the community I’ve grown up in and the role models I’ve had,” he said.
“I’m proud of what I do and a bit of recognition is nice.”
